Dreaming...
Refocus. Refocus. Refocus. To refocus…
Add a snake.
A dram of scotch.
Some coffee beans.
Artist blood.
and stir…

She ate. He ate. She slept. He slept. She chatted. He chatted. She made tea. He drank it. He bought beer at the pub. She drank it. The sun was up in the sky. The goose had come into the backyard. The football was on. They tweeted all this together. It had all come down to this. Or had it? She couldn’t help but look at him and wonder. He watched the football.

It had been a long time. The side of her new apartment building felt good under her hands as she paused. She swayed in time with the Etta James while getting closer to the taunting pink bits. Sometimes, she thought, you just have to wait to be ready to tackle the tough parts in between.
Story #1
Seemingly unable to think of herself after years of a banal and trivial life, she cast around for distraction. Expecting to perform only a personal paint job she surprised herself that she was good at what she found. Also, surprisingly, it made me love her.
